Patriots Day Gift Boxes

A very special recognition for a very special group of people.

My daughter’s teacher asked me to make up some gift boxes for veterans who would be attending their Patriots Day Celebration.  Here’s what I came up with.

I made up 12 boxes and put just a few little goodies and treats inside.  I tied the cellophane bags with a wired ribbon and stuck a small American Flag in the bow.

I made post it note holders using square coasters and binder clips that I had covered with Patriotic Papers.  I found some Hershey Kisses in blue and silver star wrappers for Veteran’s Day.  I made little baggy toppers.

I made covers for the popcorn bags to coordinate with everything in the gift boxes.

The tags were made using the 2-tag die and the big shot.

This was such a fun project to put together!

Valentine’s Stamp Event…..

Valentine Stampin’ Frenzy

I’m in the process of putting up all the card choices for our next big Stamp Event.

Our Valentine’s Stampin’ Frenzy!

30 valentine projects for $30.00!!

Do you need Valentine Treats or cards?  Come and get them all finished at once!

There are 14 card designs and 4 candy holder/boxes to choose from.

In some cases we have intentionally made them non-valentine just to have a bit of a variety.  Most of these cards can be used for other occasions by changing the greeting.

Some of these projects are our original designs and some have been borrowed from other very creative Stampin’ Up Demonstrators.

I’ll have all the projects posted by Wednesday evening, but here are a few.

Choose 2 designs and do 15 of each, or do all 30 of one design.

Happy Fall!

I love everything about Fall, the weather, the decorating, fall cooking and baking….but most of all the anticipation of the holidays!  This is definitely one of my favorite times of the year!

Here are a couple of my recent Fall projects.

All Supplies are from Stampin’ Up!

This card is truly elegant….much more so than the picture can begin to show.  The leaves are stamped with Gold ink on Vellum cardstock and embossed with Gold embossing powder.  The “Give Thanks” image is also stamped with gold ink and embossed with gold embossing powder on Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock.

Stampin’ Supplies:

Stamp Set: Autumn Splendor, Cardstock: Whisper White, Brushed Gold Metallic, White Vellum Cardstock, Ink pads: Gold Metallic, Accessories & Embellishments: Gold Embossing Powder, Narrow Grosgrain Ribbon – Basic Black

This card uses the Autumn Days Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up! The card measures 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″  The soft suede color measures 5-1/4″ x 8-1/5″ and is folded at 5-1/4″ to make a pocket on the front.  The ribbon holds the pocket closed–there’s no need to tape it.

Stampin’ Supplies:

Stamp Set: Autumn Days, En Francais  Cardstock: Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, Very Vanilla, Ink Pads: Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Accessories & Embellishments: Square Scallop punch, Stampin’ Sponges, Dusty Durango Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, Corner Rounder, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Blooming With Love…

….hope your day is blooming with love.

Just in time for Mother’s Day!

I’ve been playing with this layout that I found in a magazine.  I used the Bigshot with the Circle Scallops #2 die, and the Circle Scissors.  The flower pots from Stampin’ Up!’s Blooming with Love Stamp Set are perfect for paper piecing.

Here’s a list of the supplies I used.

  • Stamp Set: Blooming With Love
  • Cardstock & Paper: Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss Designer Series Paper
  • Ink Pads: Staz On – Jet Black, Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red
  • Embellishments & Accessories: Silver Brads, White Gel Pen, Blender Pen, Scallop Square, Big Shot, Scallop Circle #2 Die, Circle Scissors, Paper Piercing Tool, Mat Pack.

Have a wonderful Day!

Happy Mother’s Day!

I know I’m a little early,  but I need to get this card in the mail….so I decided to post it a little early.

I love doing this kind of card.   It’s always so much fun to see how it winds up coming together.

The card uses Stampin’ Up!’s Top Note Bigz Die. I also used the Texturz Die inked with Chocolate Chip ink on the Chocolate chip strip.

  • Stamp Set:  Baroque Motifs, All Holidays
  • Cardstock: Baja Breeze Textured, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Shimmery White, Parisian Breeze Specialty Paper
  • Ink Pads: Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze
  • Embellishments & Accessories: Top Note Bigz Die, Texturz Plates, Kit #4, Ribbon Originals – Valet, Stampin’ Sponge, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds (centers of flowers), silver brads, corner rounder, Chit Chat Rub-ons.

The inside has an 8″ x 5-1/2″ piece of cardstock that’s accordian folded every 1″.

The only folds that are taped down to the inside of the card are the 2 ends.  Each square measures 2″ with the stamp piece measuring 1 – 3/4″.

Have a Happy Day!
